Led by the Minister of Tourism, Handicrafts, Social and Solidarity Economy, Fatim-Zahra Ammor, the Moroccan delegation comprises 44 professional co-exhibitors and representatives from all of Morocco’s 12 regions. Their goal is to capitalize on the exceptional branding opportunities and exclusive presence at the opening ceremony, which comes with the prestigious Premier Partner status.

One of the major highlights of the event was the signing of two significant partnerships. Firstly, the MNTO inked a 5-year collaboration with British tour operator JET2, a market leader in the UK. This agreement aims to position Morocco as a top destination in the programming of the leading British tour operator, with an initial 17 weekly flights scheduled from various UK departure points. The number of flights is expected to increase to 28 per week in subsequent years, boosting tourism and strengthening ties between the UK and Morocco.

Additionally, the MNTO entered into a 5-year partnership with eDreams ODIGEO, the world’s foremost travel subscription platform. This partnership seeks to triple the current annual targets, with an anticipated annual growth rate of around 30%. eDreams ODIGEO’s extensive portfolio, which includes well-known brands such as eDreams, GO Voyages, Opodo, and Travellink, will play a vital role in enhancing Morocco’s visibility in the global travel market.

Through their dynamic “Light In Action” strategy, the MNTO is utilizing WTM London 2023 as a platform to strengthen Morocco’s presence in traditional markets and explore new growth opportunities. This strategic move is pivotal in positioning Morocco as a thriving and sought-after travel destination, poised to make significant contributions to the global travel industry.

WTM London 2023 has undoubtedly cemented Morocco’s status as a key player in the international travel scene, and with these strategic partnerships, it is clear that Morocco is on a trajectory to becoming an even more enticing destination for travelers around the world.
