Visa to France: How to apply for French Visa in Ghana

France is a member of the Schengen states and as such Schengen Visa Policy applies.

Application and Appointment

Log on to FRANCE VISAS, and then create an account to begin the visa application process.

At the end of the visa form filling process, you will be invited to validate the visa application and then book an appointment on VFS appointment module. Click on the link to VFS appointment booking module and book your desired date.

Unlike the Netherlands, France visa applications are received at the French Embassy.

Prepare for submission

Once you are through with the visa application form, you will receive a list of documents to include in your application during submission. Read more on Schengen Visa Requirements.

Submit your application

Arrive at the Embassy 15 minutes before the scheduled appointment. The embassy’s address can be found on the Appointment Confirmation you received after booking the date for the submission.

Go for your passport

The French Embassy processes applications in 15 working days. You will be notified to collect your passport from the embassy once a decision is made on the application.
