A visa is an endorsement on a passport indicating that a foreigner is allowed to enter, leave, or stay for a specified period of time in a country. A visa is endorsed in a passport in the form of a sticker or a stamp. EVisas are not stamped in passports as they are issued electronically and printed out by the applicant. A visa typically contains the passport and personal details of the holder, period of stay permitted, and other conditions indicating the activities the holder is permitted or prohibited to carry out in the country.
