In addition to its passenger traffic, Schiphol also handled 1.37 million tons of cargo, with 15,969 cargo-only flights. The airport’s cargo operations showed a slight decrease compared to the previous year, reflecting the broader trends in global trade.

Eindhoven Airport and Rotterdam The Hague Airport also experienced growth in passenger numbers and air transport movements in 2023. Eindhoven Airport welcomed 6.8 million passengers, while Rotterdam The Hague Airport recorded 2.2 million visitors. Both airports saw an increase in air transport movements, indicating continued demand for travel in the region.

These developments underscore Amsterdam Airport Schiphol’s status as a key international airport and highlight the Netherlands as a vibrant travel destination. As the aviation industry continues to recover from the impact of the pandemic, these numbers bode well for the future of travel in the region.
