Your credible entertainment news hub www.asiwomewrites.com has gathered that Aben 94.9 Fm of Joy Daddy Multimedia in Koforidua will on December 24, 2019, under the “Koficty We Dey” Project put up an unveiling and performance event to showcase 10 up and coming artists.
In a signed press release by the Director of Radio, Mr. Owoahene K. Acheampong of Joy Daddy Multimedia, he explained the 10 up and coming musicians will be selected from known Ghanaian genres such as Highlife, Hiplife, Reggae/Dancehall, and Gospel.
The Kofcity We Dey Project which is going to be a yearlong annual event has as its main objective to raise at least one Eastern Region based top musician like the Fancy Gadam and Macassio of Northern Region, Flowking Stone, Amerado and Kin Paluta of Ashanti Region, Kofi Kinaata of Takoradi and the Teephlow of Central Region.
The project will also create performance avenues and get their songs on radio and TV rotations in the East and the whole of Ghana which will give and increase their publicity mileage. The project will also inculcate in them the act of show business and branding and education on copyright-related issues.
These 10 up and coming musicians will also be featured on a Kofcity We Dey theme song and compilation which will be released on all media platforms. The project also has bloggers, DJs, and Presenters that will be at the helm of promotion and publicity.
A documentary on how music and the arts have fared in the region will be premiered on Bryt TV which will also include a video profile of all 10 selected musicians on the Kofcity We Dey Project.
