Jomo Kenyatta International Airport closes terminal to welcome Melania Trump

Nairobi’s Jomo Kenyatta International Airport will temporarily have its Terminal 2 (T2) closed, Kenya Airports Authority has said.

This news comes ahead of the arrival of US First Lady, Melania Trump, who is expected to land in the country on Friday October 5.

The terminal closed on Thursday October 4 from 17h00 to 21h00 and will close again on Saturday October 6 from 00h00 until 09h30.

The following flights will be affected on October 6:

Departures

5H0417: Nairobi-Mombasa.
5H0407: Nairobi-Kisumu.
5H0427: Nairobi-Eldoret.
5H0441: Nairobi-Mombasa-Zanzibar.
5H0411: Nairobi-Malindi-Lamu.

Arrivals:

5H0408: Kisumu-Nairobi.
5H0428: Eldoret-Nairobi.
5H0418: Mombasa-Nairobi.

All operations, arrivals and departures for domestic flights will be handled at Terminal 1D, whilst Terminal 1E will be used for international arrivals, and Terminal 1B for international departures.

All passengers are advised to use the car park located at Parking 10 from Thursday 04h00 to Saturday 09h30.

Departing passengers are advised to be at JKIA at least three hours before departure time due to expected congestion and security checks.
