Ethiopian Airlines Launches Historic Direct Flights from London to Kumasi

Ethiopian Airlines is set to make history as the first airline to operate international flights to Nana Agyemang Prempeh I International Airport in Kumasi, Ghana. Starting December 3, 2024, passengers can travel directly from London Gatwick Airport to Kumasi, opening a new chapter in connectivity between the UK and Ghana’s Ashanti Region.

The inaugural flight will depart from London Gatwick at 2:10 AM and arrive in Kumasi at 9:05 PM the same day. Although the flight will transit through Addis Ababa and include a 3-hour layover in Accra, the new service significantly enhances travel options for passengers heading to Ghana’s second-largest city.
