UAE Visit Visa holders can now apply for a 30-day extension for two times without having to leave the country, the Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship (FAIC) has announced.

The visa reform takes effect from October 21, 2018.

A Dh600 (approximately 165usd) fee is applicable for each extension. Previously, visitors had to leave the UAE after the expiry of their three-month visit visas or one-month tourist visas.

The UAE has simplified visa application processes and it comes easing burden on tourists to attract more visitors.
