Cape Town has officially been named the best city in the world for 2025, according to Time Out’s annual ranking. The vibrant South African city topped the list after more than 18,500 residents from cities worldwide shared their thoughts on what makes urban living exceptional.

Time Out’s survey focused on key factors such as affordability, happiness, safety, food, nightlife, and access to nature, as well as input from the publication’s global network of city experts. Cape Town emerged as the ultimate winner, combining stunning natural beauty, rich cultural history, and a vibrant modern lifestyle.
