Cape360, operators of Cape360gh.com portal has been awarded the Tourism Oriented Media of the Year at the just ended 2018 Central Region Tourism Awards.
Ran by teacher and blogger Ekow Simpson, Cape360 has been actively promoting Central region’s tourism on the online portal and his various social media handles. Ekow was last year appointed by the Cape Coast Metropolitan Assembly as Sanitation and Tourism Ambassador.
The 2018 Central Region Tourism Awards which was organised by the Central Regional Office of the Ghana Tourism Authority (GTA) came off on Friday, 22nd February, 2019 at Manna Heights Hotel in Mankessim.
The event saw deserving individuals, institutions and organizations awarded for their promotion of tourism in the Central region in the year under review.
Golden Hill Parker Hotel, Manna Heights Hotel and Ridge Royal Hotel were awarded the Best 1 Star, 2 Star and 3 Star Hotels respectively while Kokodo Guest House and Genevieva Lodge respectively grab the Best Guest Hotel and Budget Hotel awards.
White Sands Beach Resort & Spa at Gomoa Fetteh was also honoured for Consistent Payment of Tourism Levy.
