The ITB Berlin Convention 2024, the premier think tank for the global travel industry, is set to take place at the Berlin Exhibition Grounds from March 5 to 7 under the theme “Pioneer the Transition in Travel & Tourism. Together.” This event promises to provide crucial guidance for the tourism of the future through engaging presentations and discussions on 17 themed tracks and four live stages.

Pioneering Discussions
- Experts from business, science, and politics will convene to discuss new concepts and strategies for a travel industry in transition.
- The convention aims to address the challenges posed by climate change, artificial intelligence, skilled worker shortages, and the ongoing impacts of the coronavirus crisis.
Varied Program
- The event will feature 17 themed tracks and four live stages covering areas such as marketing, sales, technology, hospitality, and destination management.
- Participants can expect presentations, discussions, best-practice examples, and expert interviews, providing insights into current trends and innovative solutions.
Diverse Topics
- The “Future Track” will explore innovative global trends, featuring presentations by industry leaders such as Glenn Fogel (CEO, Booking Holdings) and Charuta Fadnis (Senior Vice President, Research and Product Strategy at Phocuswright).
- The “Future Work Track” will focus on strategies for the industry’s future viability, addressing the acute shortage of skilled workers.
Sustainability and Social Justice
- The “Responsible Tourism Track,” in partnership with the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), will discuss the contributions of global tourism to sustainability, climate protection, and social justice.
- Speakers include Külli Kraner (Head of Tourism, Estonian Ministry of Economic Affairs and Communications) and Laura Meyer (CEO, Hotelplan Group).
Co-hosted by WTCF
- The World Tourism Cities Foundation (WTCF) is a co-host of the ITB Berlin Convention, emphasizing the event’s global significance.
