Atwea Mountains Location: How to get to Atwea Mountains

The Atwea Mountains, as it is famously called has evolved to become one of the most popular and patronized prayer mountains in Ghana.

According to historians, the act of ascending the mountain by Christians began some decades ago when one local Methodist Pastor in Atwea named Abraham Osei-Assibey climbed the Atwea Stone to go and offer prayers to God.

After spending some days up on the mountain praying, he descends and regularly took his fellowship to the Mountain to go and pray. The news later went viral and Christians bought into the idea.

Since then, the act has since grown to become what it is today.

It is located in the Central District of the Ashanti Region and undoubtedly one of the most sought-after mountains for religious reasons.

Every year thousands of Christians and non-Christians in Ghana and other nearby African Countries visit this mountain to tarry in prayers

Religious people most especially Christians visit there to seek spiritual interventions, pray and seek the face of God and other spiritual purposes.

The mountain is opened for everyone to come and pray at any time during the year.

Atwea Mountain, located in Atwea in the Sekyere Central District of the Ashanti region. ATWEA MOUNTAIN Located 12 km from Nsuta and 52 km from Kumasi.
