The Importance of a Digital Photo in Your Canada Visa Application

Canadian Citizenship Certificate
For those applying for a Canadian citizenship certificate, the specifications for the digital photo are slightly different. The final frame size of the photo must be 50mm x 70mm, and it must be in colour. Scanned photos are not accepted, and the photo must have been taken within the last 6 months. It is important to note that using a smartphone to take the photo, or changing the digital photo in any way, is not allowed.
Professional Photographer Required
It’s important to have the digital photo taken by a commercial photographer. Black and white photos are not accepted, and the photographer’s information (name, address, and date the photo was taken) must be uploaded as part of the application.

Applicants must also submit proof that they are coming to Canada for a temporary visit, such as flight tickets, travel itineraries, or proof of a medical appointment. Additionally, they must provide information on their valid visas from the United States and their previous travel history.
