Fuller Falls: Travel tips and facts to know

Fuller Falls is one of the many waterfalls in the Bono East region and is located close to the Kintampo Township. The fall lies just directly opposite the ever-popular Kintampo waterfalls and is surrounded by other major tourist sites some of which are the most popular in the region.

Like most waterfalls, Fuller Falls is hidden in the small but dense rainforest of area and tourists would have to take a few minutes of walk through the forest before getting to the waterfall.

Unlike most waterfalls in Ghana where the only activity is enjoying a water bath in the water flow, Fuller Falls offers extra fun as tourists are allowed to climb the rock which pours down the water and see how it looks like up there. Once up there, tourists can have a rare view of the entire forest reserve that surrounds the waterfall.

Tips and Fun Facts

-Tourists hoping to visit Fuller Falls can get to Kintampo and pick a Taxi from there directly to the falls.

-Be prepared to pay GHS10 as tourists fee at the entrance before being allowed to entry to the fall.

-Fuller Fall is surrounded by other major tourist sites like the Kintampo waterfalls, the Bui National Park and the Buaben Fiema Monkey Sanctuary.

-Fuller Falls was discovered by a Filipino Missionary, Rev. Fr. Joseph Panabang in 1988 and has a terrain elevation of 173 metres above sea level.
