There are a quite a number of waterfalls in Ghana. Waterfalls contribute largely to making Ghana a preferred destination for tourists.

Boti Falls
Boti Falls is located in Manya Krobo, 17km North-east of Koforidua, the Eastern Region of Ghana. River Pawnpawn forms this waterfall which takes it source from Ahenkwa-Amalakpo. The Boti falls has the upper and lower falls. It is a twin waterfall which the locals mostly refer as female and male.
Kintampo Waterfalls
Kintampo Waterfalls is one of the highest waterfalls in Ghana located on the Pumpum river, a tributary of the Black Volta. It is located at Kintampo in the Brong Ahafo region of Ghana.
Also known as Sanders Falls during the colonial days, it is one of the most visited waterfalls in Ghana and has a huge number of visitors visiting each year.
Being the main natural attraction in the area, it is hidden deep in the forest and formed by three main drops where the longest drop measures 82ft in height.
Fuller Falls
Fuller Falls is situated at Yabraso, 7km west of Kintampo. It takes its source from the Oyoko river which is a tributary of the Black Volta.
The river flows into the Black Volta at the border between Brong Ahafo and the Northern Region at Dwire Kumboe.
The waterfalls was discovered by a Filipino missionary, Rev. FR. Joseph Panabang, in 1988 and was developed with the help of Adamu Amidu who was then a farmer along the river.
The place was kept as a prayer grounds and named “Our Lady of Kintampo Prayer Park ” where Father Panabang and people used to come for prayer sessions until he left Kintampo in 1998.
Wli Waterfalls
Wli Waterfalls, also known ass Agumatsa falls, is a popular tourist site located near the village of Wli, close to the Togo border. It is the highest waterfall in West Africa located in the Hohoe Municipality of the Volta Region. It also consists of an upper and lower fall.
Wli has beautiful scenery and landscape that makes the place a number one choice for tourists.
Akaa falls
These falls are a mere 7km from Boti Falls and are also seasonal in nature. Like Boti Falls, these falls are also accessed via a scenic 250 concrete steps to the bottom, where a canyon of water can fall around you from 3 sides if the flow is good.
Tourists usually visit both Boti and Akaa together because they are located in the same vicinity.
Ote falls
Ote Falls is a 45-minute walk from the town of Amedzofe, a town in the Volta Region of Ghana. Amadzofe is noted for its cool weather.
Tagbo falls
This is a waterfall near Mountain Afadjato in Ghana, located at Liati Wote, approximately 27 kilometres east of Hohoe in the Volta Region.
The water falls down in different stages with the last stage being about 60m high. There is a cool and thick forest (rainforest) surrounding this beautiful scenery.
From the town to the waterfall is about 45 minute walk.
Chenku Waterfall
Tsenku (Chenku) Waterfall also called Wuruduwurudu Fall, is located in the Dodowa Forest near the Shai Hills Wildlife Reserve in the Greater Accra Region of Ghana. Tsenku Waterfall is 39km from the capital city of Accra and it is the only waterfall in the Region.
It drops from a height of 250 feet, moving of a well layered rocks into a wandering pool below. Tsenku falls has beautiful and breathtaking surroundings which many tourists fall in love with.
Tini Waterfalls
Tini Waterfalls, also known as Adasawase Waterfalls, is located in the North Eastern part of Adasawase. Adasawase is a small farming village in the Eastern Region, about 5km off the Anyinam road.
This waterfall was named after River Tini. A rainforest surrounds Tini Waterfall and serves as a home to different species of birds and butterflies.
Adom Falls
Adom Waterfalls is located in Obosomase and in the same vicinity with Tsenku waterfall. The Adom waterfall runs on a stratified rock into a clear pool that flows through the cool forest.
