Germany is calling for international students to apply for German fully funded DAAD Scholarships for the 2024-2025 batch. These scholarships are available for all subjects and all degree options including undergrad, postgrad, research-based, and faculty/student exchange programs.

If you are not familiar with DAAD, it is the German Academic Exchange Service run by the government of Germany. The program offers Government Scholarships to international students each year. I highly encourage all students to explore and shortlist their subject-specific DAAD scholarships from the scholarship database and submit their application to study for free in Germany. In addition to free education, students will also receive a monthly stipend.

There are numerous reasons to consider studying on a DAAD Scholarship in Germany. The scholarship is fully funded and available to bachelors, masters, and PhD students. It also includes free education, travel funding, free residence, funding for family members, free life insurance, and a living allowance ranging from €934 for MS, €1200 for PhD, to €2150 for faculty exchange programs.

Education is totally free in Germany, and DAAD scholarships make it easier for talented international students to enroll in any degree option and subject advertised for admissions on the DAAD scholarship database. Additionally, disabled international students are promised extended benefits support.

DAAD scholarships are mostly exempted from the requirement of IELTS and the German language. However, DAAD gives preference to applicants who provide German or English language test certificates. Students can take a free German language test via Goethe institut or Deutsche welle, and English language tests accepted by DAAD include those conducted by the British Council.

Applying for DAAD scholarships in Germany requires submitting a specific set of scholarship application documents. Students are encouraged to start gathering these required documents ahead of time and to write a letter of motivation with clear information on their academic goals and research proposals.

For more information, students can visit the DAAD FAQs page and contact regional offices of DAAD if they have additional questions.
