Victoria Falls: How To Save On Your Visit To Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe
If you are touring Zimbabwe, then Victoria Falls is definitely on your itinerary. The cost of living in Zimbabwe is very high and tourist hotspots like Victoria Falls are even harder.
After spending a few days enjoying several activities at Victoria Falls, I noticed that tourists can actually save a lot of money without taking items out of their itineraries.
Below are a few tips on how to save money on your visit to Victoria Falls.
Choice of hotel
Stay closer to the falls. All the activities take place at walking distance from the falls. So staying far from the falls means spending so much on transportation. When selecting a hotel, filter the results to show hotels closer to the waterfalls.
After staying closer to the falls, avoid taxis. You can walk to all the attractions at Victoria Falls. There are a lot of eating places around but when you find yourself in a taxi, the driver will take you to a faraway restaurant.
Try as much as possible to avoid agents when booking activities. Agents add commissions that you can save when you book directly with the service providers or at the attraction site.
