Introductory Letter for students to support visa application

Students applying for visas are to prove that they are still in school and including Student ID in the application isn’t enough to show that one is a continuing student. Introductory Letter from the school is the only document that can serve as evidence that one is still in school.

The Letter of Introduction from school must be addressed to the Visa Section of the Embassy concerned.

An Introductory Letter from an educational institution to support a student’s visa application must include but not limited to the following:

  1. Student’s name
  2. Student’s ID number, Passport Number or Date of birth
  3. Student’s program of studies
  4. Student’s level/class/year
  5. Why the school has no problem with the student’s travel (usually because the school will be on vacation)
  6. Contact details of the school (usually if different from what’s on the letterhead)
  7. Name, signature and position of the person responsible for issuing such letters
