Cefalu is a hilly city located in the Northern part of Sicily, Italy. Most tourists who visit the land mostly do so to visit the famous Norman Cathedral, the Museo Mandralisca, and also to enjoy the beautiful sea and beaches of the town.
Here are some places to swim when you visit Cefalu.
Castel di Tusa beach
This beach by far is the most distant from Cefalu, one should expect clear crystal water and a beach filled with big rocks. Swimming in the water is pleasurable however acrobatics are highly warned against.
Pollina beach
The beach is not very far from the city of Cefalu, it is located about 15 kilometers away from Cefalu. The beach was the settings for the famous and legendary Valtur vacation village until not long ago.
Sant’Ambrogio beach
The Sant’ Ambrogio beach is a small beach mostly visited by locals and natives of Cefalu, Sicily and other surrounding towns. Although it used to be a reserve for the local people, the site is now a preferred choice of the rich, politicians and some VVIPs.
Coast House beach
The Coast House beach of Cefalu is about 3 kilometers from the Cefalu City Center. It’s a pebble beach, and the seabed is easily visible through the clear water with rocks that serve as habitat for fish. A good place to fish for octopus.
