Lady Gaga is bringing her world tour to Singapore this May, and fans aren’t wasting time. Hotels are booking up fast, especially around the dates of her four exclusive shows.
Singapore is her only Asian stop, so fans from all over the region are flying in. Booking.com reports a sharp rise in hotel searches after tickets went on sale. Searches from India alone jumped by 20%, with most fans coming from cities like Delhi, Mumbai, and Bengaluru. Australia leads in concert-related travel searches, followed by India, Singapore, Taiwan, and the UK.
This isn’t the first time a major concert has become a tourism wave. Last year, Taylor Swift’s six-night run in Singapore brought in nearly 1.5 million visitors. It also helped boost tourism revenue by about SGD 500 million.
With Gaga, the pattern is repeating. Flights are filling up, hotel prices are climbing, and travel agencies are seeing strong demand for concert-related trips. Many travelers are also adding sightseeing to their plans. Popular stops include Universal Studios, the Singapore Flyer, Minionland, and the Night Safari. Some are even extending their trips to Malaysia, Thailand, or nearby islands like Bintan.
Music is quickly becoming one of the biggest reasons people travel, especially for younger fans. They want the live experience—and they want to turn it into a full trip.
If you’re planning to be in Singapore for the show, book your stay soon. Rooms are disappearing, and the closer you get to the concert, the harder it’ll be to find one.
Travel Tip:
Can’t find a hotel in central Singapore? Try looking in nearby areas like Geylang or Sentosa. You might get better rates and still be close to the action.
