The Opportunity Card, also known as the Chancenkarte, allows candidates from non-EU countries to enter Germany to look for a job.
Below is a step-by-step guide on how to start the application process.

- Visit the official Opportunity Card website at Chancenkarte.
- On the navigation bar, click on “Application Assistant.”
- Select your nationality.
- Follow the on-screen instructions until you reach the end.
- Enter your name and email address.
A screen will appear showing the number of points you earned based on your responses. If you earned at least 6 points, you are eligible to proceed. Check your email for further instructions. Start gathering all your supporting documents and then put in your application. In case of Ghana, applications can not be made online. You can apply in person at the German Embassy in Accra.
