The University of Twente is offering a scholarship opportunity for non-EU/EEA students to study for a master’s degree in the Netherlands. The scholarship provides financial support ranging from €3,000 to €22,000 for one year, with the possibility of additional funding for the second year based on students’ first-year performance. Recipients of the University of Twente scholarship also have the option to participate in one of three honors programs and may apply for the Kipaji Scholarship for additional support.
In the 2023 rankings, the University of Twente ranked 425 in the CWUR World University Rankings and 12 in the national rankings. The EduRank Global placed it at 332 and 12 in national rankings. The QS World University Rankings placed it at 210 globally and did not provide a national ranking. Additionally, the University of Twente ranked in the top in several categories, including Engineering, Computer Science, Business and Economics, and Physics.
The UTS scholarship offers financial support ranging from €3,000 to €22,000 for one year, with approximately 50 scholarships available. UTS recipients may also apply for the Kipaji Scholarship, which has its own set of requirements.
To be eligible for the UTS scholarship in 2024, applicants should have scored in the top 5-10% of students in their class, have been admitted to one of the qualifying UTS Master programs for the academic year 2024/2025, and meet the general English language test requirement of Academic IELTS 6.5 or TOEFL iBT of 90. Applicants should also have a student number, comply with Dutch entry/study visa conditions, and not have graduated from a UTS undergraduate program.
The application process involves choosing a subject and applying for a Master’s degree at the University of Twente, obtaining a (conditional) admission letter, and then applying for the University of Twente scholarship using the provided student number.
The deadline for the UTS scholarship application is in rounds, with the first round opening on 15 October 2023 and closing on 1 February 2024. The second round opens on 1 February 2024 and closes on 1 May 2024.
