About Longford Park Primary School: Longford Park Primary School is a one-form entry school for children aged 3-11. Accredited as a Thrive school and holding a ‘Learning Outside the Classroom’ silver award, the school fosters a passion for supporting children and their families. With a motto of ‘Working Together, Learning Forever,’ the school aims to empower children to become confident, resilient, and articulate individuals who aspire to be the best version of themselves.

Job Role and Responsibilities: The school is looking for a committed Teaching Assistant to support children with special educational needs and disabilities, starting in January/February 2024. Responsibilities include providing learning support, assisting in classroom management, and leading intervention work in 1-2-1 or small group settings.

Who Are They Looking For? The ideal candidate should possess:

  • A level 3 teaching assistant qualification.
  • Previous experience working with children who have special educational needs, disabilities, and social and emotional needs.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Dynamic, resilient, and hardworking with a positive mindset.

Working Pattern: Term time only plus one additional week for training needs and requirements. The working pattern is as follows:

  • Monday to Wednesday: 12:00 pm – 4:00 pm
  • Thursday: 12:00 pm – 4:00 pm
  • Friday: 8:30 am – 4:00 pm
