What is the secret room on top of the Eiffel Tower?
There is no secret room at the very top of the Eiffel Tower. The top of the tower features two observation decks: the lower deck is located at a height of 276 meters (906 feet) and the upper deck is located at a height of 300 meters (984 feet). At the very top of the tower, there is a small room that houses the machinery for the tower’s elevator system, but it is not accessible to the public.
However, there is a small room on the tower’s third level that is sometimes referred to as a “secret room.” This room was originally used as a laboratory by Gustave Eiffel, the tower’s designer, and later served as a radio station during World War I. Today, the room is not open to the public, but it can be visited with special permission from the tower’s management.
