If you are not a winner of the U.S Diversity Visa lottery, then the feedback you get after checking your entrant status is:
Based on the information provided, the Entry HAS NOT BEEN SELECTED for further processing for the Electronic Diversity Visa program at this time.
Please verify that you have entered all information correctly. You may re-check the Entry status by clicking on the ESC Home Page link below.
As clearly indicated in the text that displayed, it’s either you were not selected or you didn’t enter the details correctly. It usually means you were not selected as this page rarely appears when the information is entered incorrectly. The website prompts you when you enter the details wrongly. All the same, you are advised you crosscheck the details to make sure you entered them correctly. If they appear to be correct, then it means you were not selected for further processing.
But that could not be the end. Keep your confirmation until September 30 the following year. If you checked DV 2022, the confirmation should be kept until September 30, 2022. In 2011, a new draw was done after the U.S Department of State noticed that the computer program unfairly selected people who submitted applications in the first two days of the 30-day application process. The results were cancelled after 12 days and a new draw was made. Keep your confirmation, anything can happen.
DV 2017 had a second draw, probably after the US Department of State did not come anywhere close to the expected 50,000 people who should be granted a visa under the migration program. Who knows, a second draw could happen and your confirmation would be needed to check.
