TLSContact, a subsidiary of Teleperformance that has managed UK visa applications in Ghana, will be closing its doors on November 19, 2024. The company announced that the UK visa application processing services it handles will be officially transferred to VFS Global.
Before TLSContact began operations in Ghana in February 2014, VFS Global managed UK visa applications in Ghana. The switch to TLSContact brought new facilities and protocols; now, with VFS Global resuming its former role, applicants will benefit from a familiar yet updated application process.
Since TLSContact took over the UK visa application process in Ghana, applicants have relied on its established presence to facilitate document submissions, appointments, and processing. Now, as part of an operational transition, VFS Global, an international outsourcing and technology services specialist for governments and diplomatic missions, will take over these responsibilities.
The move aligns Ghana with numerous other countries where VFS Global handles UK visa application services, suggesting a streamlined approach by the UK government to consolidate visa services with a single provider worldwide. VFS Global has a strong reputation for managing visa and consular services for multiple countries, making this change a notable development in visa application processes in Ghana.
Visa applicants are advised to stay informed on updates from VFS Global regarding new procedures, application submission locations, and other details as the transition approaches. The transfer is expected to be seamless, ensuring minimal disruption for those with scheduled appointments around the November transition date.
For Ghanaians planning to apply for a UK visa shortly, follow updates closely and prepare for any adjustments in the application process that may arise as VFS Global takes over.
