Somalia is a visa-on-arrival country for holders of Ghanaian passports. Citizens of Ghana are not exempted from visa requirements when travelling to Somalia. The country adds up to the over 20 countries that Ghanaians can travel to by obtaining a visa on arrival at the border.
The difference between Visa-free entry and Visa-on-arrival is not significant and many Ghanaians consider visa-on-arrival countries as visa-free countries too. In fact, many websites have listed these countries under the list of countries Ghanaians can travel to without a visa. The only difference with a visa-on-arrival country is that a fee is paid for a visa to be stamped in the passport. Usually, these countries do not place strict visa requirements on Ghanaians, however, basic travel and immigration requirements have to be met to avoid any inconveniences.

Accommodation
Immigration officers may want to know where you intend to stay. Aside from that, you are required to provide details of your accommodation when completing the visa application form and a landing card. Travellers travelling to visa-on-arrival countries are urged to make accommodation arrangements in advance and print the booking confirmation to show when they report to an immigration officer.
