Jetsanza.com reported that the Aviation Ministry has drafted memo to propose to Cabinet to handover the management of the Kotoka International Airport (KIA) to a private company, TAV Airports Holding.
TAV Airports Holding Company limited, has sent a proposal to the Aviation Ministry to take over the management of KIA “to help bring about the physical development of the airport enclave.”
The Ministry is considering the proposal.
Founded in 1997, TAV Airports Holding Company has its headquarters in Istanbul, Turkey, with 18,768 employees working in fifteen (15) airports.
Paris Aéroport, owners of all Parisian international airports, is currently the largest shareholder of TAV Airports Holding with 46% stake.
The Air Traffic Control and Airport management company recorded a 31% traffic growth in 2018.
