The TechWomen Leadership Program 2024 in the USA hosted by the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs (ECA) is an inspiring initiative. This program showcases the United States’ commitment to advancing the rights and participation of women and girls worldwide, especially in the tech industry. It empowers women to realize their full potential in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM).
The program brings together emerging women leaders in STEM from Africa, Central and South Asia, and the Middle East with their professional counterparts in the United States. This mentorship and exchange program includes opportunities to engage in challenging concepts and questions, collaborate on innovative projects, network with industry leaders, discover and develop leadership styles, form friendships and networks with women globally, and explore San Francisco Bay Area and Washington, D.C.
The TechWomen program is a fully funded opportunity, ensuring that financial constraints do not hinder talented women. The benefits include international airfare, accommodation, coverage of meals and food expenses, local public transport facilitation, and domestic airfare for program activities. Participants will be responsible for any costs associated with non-program activities.
Prospective applicants must meet eligibility criteria by being women with a minimum of two years of full-time professional experience in STEM, hold a bachelor’s degree or equivalent, be proficient in English, and more. Preference will be given to those who demonstrate leadership, commitment to their home countries, limited U.S. experience, a record of community service, entrepreneurialism, and a willingness to engage in exchange programs.
The application window for the 2024 TechWomen program is open until January 10, 2024. If you want to apply, consider submitting your online application for the TechWomen scholarship here. Take advantage of this opportunity to empower yourself and contribute to the advancement of women in STEM.
