The Eastern Region of Ghana is one of the vast regions in the country. Even after the re-demarcation of the regions that saw Ghana increasing the number of constitutional regions form 10 to 16, it is regarded as one of the largest by area, placing fifth with an area of 19,323Km2
By way of the population, it places third among the ten (according to the latest census of 2010) with a population of 2,633,154. The country awaits the 2020 census to find out the current population size.
The region boasts of several tourist sites and festivities that draw global attention, the most famous of these being the Kwahu Easter festivities and paragliding activities.
Massages have been a part and parcel of relaxation and wellbeing. The country of Ghana saw a surge in spas and various massage centres not long ago. The proliferation of which is not up to two decades.
