Apart from nationals of ECOWAS member states, most nationalities need a visa when travelling to Ghana. ECOWAS member states allow citizens to move freely within the region without a visa for a period not more than 90 days.
Bilateral Visa-Free Agreement
Aside from ECOWAS states, here is a list of other countries whose citizens can travel to Ghana without a visa due to a bilateral visa-free agreement reached by Ghana and those countries.

Ghana Visa Requirement
Passport Requirements
To attain a Ghanaian visa, the visitor must have an original, signed passport, which is valid for at least 6 months. The passport must have at least one blank page available for Ghana visa stamp.
Ghana Visa Application Form
Visitors are expected to fill out a visa form. Minors applying for Ghana visa must have both giving consents on the form.
Photo Requirement
The standard photo requirement when filling a Ghana visa application form is two recent 2 x 2 passport type photographs, in color, front view and with a plain/white background. One photograph must be fixed to each Ghana visa application in the upper right-hand corner by staple or glue.
Letter of Invitation
When applying for a Ghana visa in most countries especially the state of New York in the United States of America, a letter of invitation from your host in Ghana would be required before a visa is granted. The invitation letter must have the full residential address and telephone number as well as a copy of the hosts Ghanaian ID, Passport or Ghana Visa.
Proof of Travel Arrangements
One must be able to prove that they have already made to a significant extent all their travel arrangements. This must include a computer-generated flight itinerary indicating when they intend to enter and leave Ghana.
Hotel Confirmation
To prevent the situation of people coming to just wander on the Streets of Ghana without a decent place of abode, a traveller must provide a hotel confirmation.
Medical Requirements
All persons entering Ghana are required to have a valid certificate of immunization against yellow fever. The vaccination should be made at least 10 days prior to entry and should be renewed every 10 years.
