Delta Air Lines has launched its brand-new Airbus A330-900neo aircraft for its daily nonstop service between Accra, Ghana, and New York’s John F. Kennedy Airport (JFK) earlier than expected. The first flight on the new aircraft touched down in Accra on October 2, 2024, having departed from New York on October 1, 2024.
This new addition is set to enhance the travel experience for passengers while increasing capacity on the popular route. Delta’s Airbus A330-900neo will provide approximately 1,000 additional weekly seats between Ghana and the United States. Passengers can now choose from four distinct cabin classes: Delta One Suites, Delta Premium Select, Delta Comfort+, and Main Cabin.
In addition to its passenger features, the aircraft offers increased cargo capacity, catering to growing demand between the two countries. Travelers across all cabins will benefit from a range of modern amenities, including ambient lighting designed for a more restful flight and access to Wi-Fi, available for purchase.
Delta’s introduction of the Airbus A330-900neo has significantly enhanced connectivity between Ghana and the United States, offering travelers more comfort and options on this important transatlantic route.
