The Embassy of Afghanistan in San José, Costa Rica would have been the diplomatic representation of Afghanistan in Costa Rica to protect the interests of Afghanistan in Costa Rica, protect and provide support for Afghans in Costa Rica, and issue visas to Costa Ricans and legal residents of Costa Rica travelling to Afghanistan. Unfortunately, there’s currently no Embassy of Afghanistan in Costa Rica.
As the official representation of Afghanistan, the Embassy would have covered all matters concerning diplomatic relations between the two countries. It would have also represented Afghanistan’s interests in the areas of political, economic, financial and legal affairs, as well as science, education and culture.
