The Church of Pentecost is one of the leaders of the Pentecostal movement in Ghana. Established after Pastor James Mckeown parted ways with the Apostolic Church in the then Gold Coast in 1939 due to differences in teachings or doctrines.
The church has had many people starting several prayer camps without endorsement from its leadership. This led to the church dissociating itself form all such camps. The resultant effect of which led to the church having a few prayer camps.
One of these is the Church of Pentecost Camp at Ho, Mawuli Estates 3rd Gate. The centre is managed Elder Seth. Yaw. Peasah.
The Centre has been known for the deliverance of many people who have been under demonic operation for years. Others have testified of receiving financial breakthroughs.
For some, they just needed what step to take in life and the camp served as a place where they went to pray and received the next direction concerning what decision to take. Prayer camps per their nature are patronized by people seeking answers to life’s difficult questions. Thus the Pentecost Prayer camp at Ho has played that very role. Suffice it to say this camp is led by an Elder of the Church, and not necessarily an ordained Minister.
Albeit, the activities are very much regulated. This is because the Church of Pentecost holds in high esteem the tenents of faith of the Church and will not accommodate any organization or groupings within the church that does contrary to these tenets.
So far, it is one of the few camps that has received massive endorsement by the Church of Pentecost and a place to visit whether you are a member of the church or of another denomination seeking revival or answers or just looking for a place to isolate for spiritual direction for a decision in life.
