It is however expected that other local carriers would begin flying from major cities to Wa in the long term when flight traffic to the city increases.

Announcing the carrier’s decision to fly between Accra and Wa, Head of Commercial, Richard Kyere said the airline would fly to Wa, three times in a week, citing Tuesday, Thursday and Sundays as the specific flying days.

He further revealed that various promotional offers are in the pipeline once operations begin with fares beginning from as low as GHS99 and GHS299 depending on a passenger’s package.

This would come as welcoming news for the people of Wa, especially those in the tourism sector, as traveling to the city would become much easier looking at the long hours tourists have to spend on the road when traveling by bus from the south.

Tourist attractions sites in Wa such as the Mole National Park, Wa Naa’s Palace and others are likely to see number of tourists increase should all things go as reported.
