Prospective revelers at the 2019 Kwahu Easter celebrations with the motive of embarking on sex tourism would have to stay out of this year’s edition.
Though having sex is not a crime in Ghana, the Nkawkaw Divisional Crime Officer, DSP Agyemang Badu has warned that tourists and residents who engage in open sexual acts will be arrested.
According to him, such act is considered a crime for which matter anyone who does that would be dealt with according to the law.
The Divisional Crime Officer made this known on Nkawkaw based Agoo FM during an interview with Kwame Koranteng.
He explained that though wearing skimpy clothes may not be a crime, exposing some sensitive parts of the body will be considered as a crime and be treated as such.
The DSP cautioned Kwahu residents and visitors from other parts of the country who will troop to Kwahu for the Easter festivities to be self-discipline during the period.
Sex Tourism has been a major feature of Kwahu Easter festivities in the past. Many have been pictured exhibiting various kinds of sexual acts in public.
