According to Kofi Cephas, a blogger and award winning photographer, it is better for one to cook at home than to wait for such long minutes at the hotel.

In a blog post on Ghanacelebrities.com, Cephas who visited the hotel with a friend, was fascinated by a GHS50-Buffet advertised by the hotel but were greeted with customer service that seemed like the hotel “doing them a favour”.

“The food wasn’t anything extraordinary to have warranted that long wait. To top it off, I was served with no liquid soap to wash my hands for my Banku, no toothpick and no tissue. It was only upon request that these items were brought.” Cephas said in the blog post.

An email sent to the Airport View Hotel for their comment on the issue has not yet been responded but one Frank Owusu Agyeman who claims to be an employee of the hotel posted on Facebook that Cephas is not on a mission to ensure that the hotel provides excellent customer service but has a different agenda.

“We are at a loss what your real agenda is , but can state emphatically that excellent customer service/satisfaction is definitely not your aim. I rest my case and wish you luck.” – Frank posted.

Frank’s Facebook page suggests he works at the facility but did not state the capacity in which he made this statement despite the hotel officially apologising to Cephas.

According to Frank, the hotel which started operating in 2002 with 12 bedrooms, a restaurant and a conference room with 10 staff now employs over 130 Ghanaians.

Service deliveries by some hotels in Ghana have been questioned by customers as some have spotted hotels serving with second-hand plates, broken plates and even mixing Rice and Stew as Jollof rice.
