These delectable offerings capture the essence of Diwali’s sweet celebrations.

Thanksgiving Feast on November 23

Thanksgiving is a time for indulging in traditional favorites, and British Airways is not holding back. On November 23, all passengers across all cabins on long-haul flights to and from the United States will be treated to a festive main course and dessert.

  • First and Club World: Passengers can relish a traditional turkey roast with all the trimmings, followed by classic pumpkin pie, a pumpkin and walnut cake, or a pumpkin-flavored cheesecake.

These Thanksgiving-themed dishes bring the warmth and flavors of this American holiday to the skies.

Lounge Celebrations at London Heathrow

British Airways isn’t limiting the festivities to the aircraft. The airline is adding a range of special treats to its lounges at London Heathrow to celebrate both Diwali and Thanksgiving. The lounges will be adorned with traditional decorations, garlands, and tealights, creating a festive atmosphere. For Diwali, the airline offers specially designed main courses and snacks, including rogan josh, chicken balti, and samosas, from November 12-15. Thanksgiving treats in the lounges will include pumpkin and butternut squash soup, pecan pie, and turkey and smoked ham pie, all available on November 23.

Calum Laming, British Airways’ Chief Customer Officer, shared, “We know that many of our customers will be celebrating Diwali and Thanksgiving this month, so we wanted to go that extra mile to spread some joy over the festive season, both on the ground and at 35,000ft. For those celebrating, we’d like to wish them a very Happy Diwali and Happy Thanksgiving from everyone at British Airways.”

In addition to these festive offerings, British Airways is introducing new World Traveller main courses and refreshing its second service, including new hot light bite breakfast options on shorter inbound flights from the US to London Heathrow and London Gatwick.

The airline has also added a touch of luxury to its First cabin with Johnnie Walker Blue Label XOrdinaire, a specially chosen blended Scotch whisky selected by the airline’s Master of Wine. Travelers can also enjoy new content in the inflight entertainment, including a dedicated Doctor Who channel and a Christmas countdown channel to set the mood for the holiday season.

British Airways’ commitment to making festive celebrations special extends beyond its offerings, with a recently unveiled brand advert celebrating Diwali and those who are reuniting with loved ones during this festival season.
