The highly anticipated Africa Youth in Tourism Innovation Summit and Challenge 2025 has been rescheduled to new dates due to a scheduling conflict with the 68th UN Tourism Regional Commission for Africa. Originally planned for June 10-13, the summit will now take place from Tuesday, June 24, to Friday, June 27, 2025, in Nairobi, Kenya.
Organized by Africa Tourism Partners, UN Tourism, and BDO, the event helps young innovators and entrepreneurs connect and find business opportunities. The summit offers invaluable networking opportunities, match-making sessions, business financing avenues, and youth employability and career development clinics.
The summit, themed “Creating Innovative Entrepreneurship Pathways and Intra-Africa Business Connections for African Youth,” focuses on helping young professionals and startups use innovation and technology to grow. AI is changing tourism, helping businesses grow and make money.
A key highlight of the summit is the Africa Youth in Tourism Innovation Challenge, which invites young entrepreneurs from sectors including tourism, hospitality, technology, fintech, education, and engineering to showcase their innovative solutions. The deadline for Challenge entries has been extended to March 14, 2025, and the top five finalists will be announced on June 27 during the summit in Nairobi.
The event is hosted in collaboration with the Ministry of Tourism and Wildlife Kenya, TEAMS Africa, and the Kenya Tourism Board. Tourism professionals can join. The event offers exhibitor spaces, brand activations, and networking sessions.
