Albania is set to captivate the global tourism industry as the Official Host Country of ITB Berlin 2025, bringing its rich cultural heritage and breathtaking landscapes to the forefront under the theme “All Senses.” The country’s participation will kick off with an opening press conference and a spectacular opening ceremony on March 3, 2025, promising an immersive experience for visitors and industry stakeholders alike.
Under the slogan “Albania All Senses,” the Albanian Ministry of Tourism and Environment is curating an extensive program to showcase the country’s diverse attractions from March 4 to 6, 2025. This will include a variety of events, performances, and cultural activities designed to transport visitors into the heart of Albania’s unique traditions and natural beauty.
Grand Opening Ceremony and Press Conference
Leading Albania’s delegation to ITB Berlin will be H.E. Edi Rama, Prime Minister of Albania, and H.E. Mirela Kumbaro Furxhi, Minister of Tourism and Environment. The official opening press conference will take place on March 3 at 10 a.m. at the Marshall-Haus, setting the stage for Albania’s prominent presence at the event.
Later that evening, at 6 p.m., CityCube Berlin will host the grand opening ceremony, an extravagant display of Albania’s cultural richness. Attendees can expect a cinematic journey through Albania, live performances by Shkodra Elektronike—Albania’s Eurovision 2024 representatives—alongside UNESCO-recognized traditional music and dance performances by the Albanian National Ensemble. Guests will be enthralled by the energy of traditional Albanian dances such as “Kcimi i Tropojës” (the Dance of Tropoja), the Sword Dance, and the Dance of Osman Taka. The National Opera Theater and a contemporary dance performance will further elevate the evening’s artistic presentation.
A Celebration of Albanian Culture and Cuisine
Following the opening ceremony, a culinary reception at 7:30 p.m. in CityCube Berlin will offer attendees a taste of Albania’s rich gastronomic heritage. Visitors will indulge in various traditional Albanian delicacies, rounding off an evening designed to stimulate all the senses.
With Albania’s stunning landscapes, vibrant culture, and warm hospitality taking center stage at ITB Berlin 2025, the country is poised to attract global travelers and industry leaders, cementing its position as a must-visit destination.
