In addition to these countries, new rules will also apply to external service providers in India. However, these providers will still be able to offer services for certain groups of people applying for Lithuanian temporary residence permits, such as family members of Lithuanian citizens, highly skilled workers, those being transferred within a company, teachers, students, and researchers.

Despite these changes, foreigners can still apply for Lithuanian residence permits through external service providers in a total of 31 countries. These countries include Albania, Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Canada, the United States, and many others.

External service providers are responsible for collecting residence permit applications and submitting them to the Lithuanian Migration Department. Once the applications are accepted, the Migration Department evaluates them and makes a decision on whether to issue a temporary residence permit or not. If the response is positive, foreigners can collect their temporary residence permits from the external service provider in their country and then enter Lithuania.

These changes will have an impact on individuals and families looking to relocate to Lithuania. If you are considering applying for a residence permit or visa, it is important to stay informed about the latest updates and regulations from the Lithuanian government. Make sure to check the official channels and websites for the most accurate and up-to-date information.
