Are you looking to work abroad without needing to take the IELTS exam? Many countries require proof of English language proficiency from job applicants, but there are still several countries where you can apply for a job and obtain a work visa without needing IELTS certification.
I have researched and verified from immigration offices that the following countries do not require IELTS for the issuance of work visas. These countries include Singapore, Poland, China, Spain, Japan, UAE, Greece, KSA, Philippines, Hong Kong, Hungary, Netherlands, Denmark, Canada, India, Germany, Malaysia, Qatar, Vietnam, and Lithuania.
Instead of IELTS certification, work visa applicants for these countries might be required to provide other documents such as employment/appointment letters, academic degrees or transcripts, medical certificates, character clearance certificates issued by the police department, proof of financials, work experience letters, passport, work visa application form, and recommendation letters.
But it’s important to note that the immigration offices of the above countries may still demand IELTS or another English language proficiency test for study visa applicants, as the document requirements for study visa applications are different from those of work visa applications.
If you’re considering a job in the USA, you should know that current research states that you will not be eligible to apply for US jobs in 2023 without IELTS certification, as the immigration office of America will not grant work visas without IELTS.
On the other hand, you can apply for a work visa to Canada without an IELTS exam certificate, but for Canadian PR, you may be asked to provide an English language proficiency assessment record.
Similarly, you may receive a job offer from an Australian employer without needing IELTS, but when you apply for an Australian work visa, the immigration officer may ask for proof of your proficiency level in English. In this case, having an English language proficiency exam can be helpful in convincing the immigration officer about your high English language proficiency.
So, if you’re keen on working abroad without the worry of IELTS, consider the countries listed above and the specific requirements for each country’s work visa application.
