Do you dream of studying in Italy? If so, then the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs & International Cooperation (MAECI) has announced the Italian Government Scholarships 2024 for international students and Italian citizens living overseas.
The scholarships cover a wide range of degrees, including Italian language and culture advanced courses, PhD programs, faculty supervised research courses, master’s degree programs, and courses under Arts, Music, and Dance.
If you are familiar with fully funded European scholarships, then the MAECI scholarship is also fully funded. Recipients will receive an approximately 900 euros stipend, which will be paid into their bank accounts. Winners will also be offered free education at Italian government-affiliated universities, along with health insurance and medical checkup coverage.
The deadline for submitting a scholarship application in Italy is 9 June 2023 at 14:00 CET time. The duration of the scholarship will extend until 31 October 2024, with the possibility of an academic review to extend the duration.
Applicants must meet specific academic and age requirements, as well as demonstrate language proficiency. For English-language programs, applicants must provide an English language proficiency certificate or a score of B2 in the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR). For Italian-language programs, an A2 level in CEFR or an Italian language proficiency certificate is required.
If you are applying for a research-based doctoral degree scholarship program in Italy, you will be exempted from the language proficiency requirement. For more information, visit the MAECI website. Apply for the Italian government scholarship now and begin your journey to studying in Italy.
